Are the cart paths accessible to non golfers?
No, whilst the course is open - only registered golfers on the tee sheet may use the cart path. This is also for the safety of the non-golfer. Failure to abide by this rule will result in prosecution.

Are there guesthouses in the vicinity?
Yes, when our accommodation is full there are many diverse and interesting locations around the dam.

Are you open on Mondays?
No, however we do sometimes accept corporate bookings, so phone us with a date, you never know.

Can I use the practise facilities if I am not booked for a round of golf on the day?
Yes, with absolute pleasure but the is a cost of R30 per pyramid of balls. The R30 also applies if you would like to use the chipping or putting green.

Can juniors drive carts on your course?
No, absolutely not, all cart drivers are required to have a valid learners or drivers license.

111 bunkers, a trademark for Jack Nicklaus - fondly referred to as the 'Golden Bear'.

Yes, if correctly dressed according to the Dress Code. Golfers with a confirmed tee time use the facilities free of charge.

Is a golf cart compulsory?
Yes, only on weekends, public holidays and busy days (competition days). On the quieter days we are a little more leanient.

Is this the 1st Jack Nicklaus Golf Course in South Africa?
No, it is the 2nd but was completed first. The 3 Nicklaus courses presently open are Pecanwood, Pearl valley and Simola.

No, there are enough for the maximum field of 128 players

What are your conditions like in winter?
We get occasional frost, but with the average day temperature of 20°C and above and with the abundance of water, our General Manager believes we are the best course in South Africa in the winter.
